Custom fur coats, built from scratch.

One of two ways to walk out in a coat: commission a piece built to your specifications from pelt to pattern. If you'd rather buy something ready-made, shop the collection.

Not sure you want custom?

Ervin has already designed and produced hundreds of coats and styles that are on the floor right now --- mink, sable, fox, chinchilla, shearling --- no commission or wait required.

He shows you the skins first.

A custom coat starts with the pelts, not a sketch. You come by the shop, Ervin pulls bundles from the bins, and you feel them until something clicks --- the way a mink drapes, the color break in a fox, the weight of a full-length chinchilla in your hands.

Then you talk about the coat. Silhouette, length, collar, lining, how it should feel on your shoulders. Ervin takes measurements, cuts a pattern, and lays out the skins by hand on his workbench. A few fittings later, you have a coat that exists exactly once.

Inspiration comes from anywhere.

Ervin's clients have walked in with a photo of a Picasso, a pair of stonewashed jeans, a coat their mother wore in 1978, a Bushwick mural, a still from a Scorsese film. He's built coats around all of it.

The point isn't to copy --- it's to translate. A color, a shape, a mood, done in fur.

What we work with.

  • Mink --- sheared, plucked, or long-hair, in every color the ranch produces
  • Sable --- Russian and Canadian, for pieces meant to last generations
  • Fox --- silver, red, blue, crystal; dyed in-house when you want it
  • Chinchilla --- full-length statement coats and trims
  • Shearling --- lightweight, everyday, wear-it-to-the-bodega coats
  • Broadtail & astrakhan --- flat, sculptural, tailored like a suit

See it in the work

Every coat in our portfolio started the same way: a customer, a bin of skins, a conversation. Take a look at recent commissions before you book.

Ervin will show you the skins first, then talk about the coat. Fittings by appointment; walk-ins welcome when the door is open.
